Monkton Lectures
The Monkton Lecture Series is devised to enlighten, inspire and challenge the minds of our Sixth Form students
Over recent years the School has hosted exciting visits from a variety of some truly outstanding speakers, sharing their insights on a variety of fascinating issues.
Speakers include Newsnight presenter, Paddy O'Connell, Director of Recruitment for the British Army, Major General Joe Fosseey, MPs Anna Sabine and Jacob Rees-Mogg and Old Monktonians such as Chris Anderson (CEO of Ted Talks), author Bernard Cornwell, and Rosie Coates (co-founder of COOK!).
Lectures are open to all pupils, but aimed primarily at Sixth Formers. Parents are also warmly invited to attend and many do.
Our students describe these lectures as being ‘genuinely life-changing’. The lectures are a highlight of a Monktonian’s Sixth Form experience.
