Old Monktonian Club
A very warm welcome to the Old Monktonian Club!
All those who have been pupils at Monkton or Clarendon schools who leave from years 11,12 or 13 are automatically members of the OM Club. Those who leave from the Prep or younger years at the Senior School are welcome to join. Founded in 1887 as a simple cricket club, it has grown into a powerful global network offering social events, sports, and invaluable career connections . All alumni are welcome to attend any occasion organised for alumni and other school functions as advertised; they also receive a termly e-news and annually The OM and Community magazine. They are also entitled to wear OM colours.
All of us at Monkton hope that you will want to be an active member of the OM Club, which exists to promote the welfare of the School by strengthening the links between past pupils and the School. We are keen to serve members in whatever way we can, and look forward to seeing you soon.

Would you like to tell your story about what you have been doing since you left Monkton? This is a private area where OMs & OCs can share stories of their time at Monkton / Clarendon, University or their life in general with one another. ABOUT THE OM CLUB
The Old Monktonian Club was established in May 1887, largely through the initiative of C.R. Heald, who initiated an OM Cricket Club at Cambridge which six months later was transformed into the OM Club. The first President was H.S Brooke, the father of three OMs, and C.R. Heald was Secretary. The subscription was a shilling a year!
The OM Club has grown and expanded since its humble beginnings and many OMs have given freely of their time to help run the Club and its various activities.
Introducing our OM PRESIDENT Jem Hovil
Jem Hovil took over the role of OM President from Keisuke Suzuki at the OM President’s lunch in June.
"I have lived, experienced and benefitted from Monkton through much of my life. I went through all three stages of the school (Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior), and I am the middle of three generations of OMs: my father, taught at the school and was an Honorary OM; two of my sisters are OMs; and my three children are now OMs too.
Having Bath as a base has reunited my ties with Monkton – as well as with the fish in the Midford Brook. What a privilege it is to pick up the OM President baton from Keisuke and the many others who came before him. Too many have said “we live in challenging times” because, of course, we do. How important, then, to strengthen the OM community and, through that, the school, bringing past and present Monktonians together."
