Set in the beautiful rural Somerset location of the Midford Valley and with its extensive grounds, and elegant Bath stone buildings, Monkton provides a perfect venue for your private party, corporate event or sporting occasion.

Our extensive range of facilities include two exclusive dining halls, conference hall, residential accommodation, music recital and recording facilities, as well as a great range of sports facilities. Monkton is delighted to welcome private groups, companies and charities.

EVENT OPTIONS

We cater for events ranging from private dinner parties for 20 to an outdoor event for 350 people. Marquees can be hired for these larger outdoor occasions.

Planning your event at Monkton is very easy. A dedicated member of staff will take you through every aspect of the planning whether you are arranging a private party or a large outdoor event.

Our function rooms are available to seat and serve up to 160 guests, or up to 350 guests seated theatre style. With two stunning halls available for hire, and exclusive use of our extensive surrounding grounds, we can make your event run seamlessly, making your day at Monkton a truly memorable occasion.

An alternative to the main School halls are our marquee venues. Our most popular site is the Longmead Pavillion which has been voted amongst the top ten prettiest in the UK by The Times magazine. Local companies are used to supply all of our marquees.

CONFERENCES

Conference facilities at Monkton range from small meetings, to a large auditorium seating up to 350 delegates, theatre style with access to the ICT and audiovisual equipment for professional presentations.

Our chefs are on hand to meet all your dietary requirements and provide refreshments throughout the day.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

We cater for all types of events here at Monkton including birthday parties.

For children over nine years of age, we can offer our indoor 25-metre pool at the Clarke Swimming Centre where they will enjoy water-based games, water polo, relays and simply a good splash around.

THE FACILITIES

Main Dining Hall

With seating for up to 180 guests, our elegant oak clad dining hall offers the perfect backdrop for that special birthday party or sumptuous banquet. Crisp white linen, polished cutlery, tables and elegant chairs are available to provide the finishing touches.

The Old Hall

With elegant decor offering an ambience befitting your special occasion, our Old Hall can be utilised for a smaller gathering or conference, or simply used as an arrival venue or quieter space in conjunction with the main Dining Hall.

David Bowerman Recital Hall

Planning a small concert or gathering, our Recital Hall can accommodate up to 70 guests, plus balcony seating. We have 12 private rehearsal rooms and a recording suite.
