Monkton Combe School named Independent Boarding School of the Year 2025

Monkton Combe School has been named Independent Boarding School of the Year in the 2025 Independent School of the Year Awards.

The judges commended the distinctive way all pupils, whether day or boarding, are fully involved in the House system. Monkton’s inclusive model creates an outstanding environment where every student is known, valued and inspired.

Monkton’s Interim Principal, James Goodman, accepted the award in London on behalf of the boarding community.

Reflecting on the recognition, James said: “It really is a team effort, with every member of staff contributing in different ways to create the community in which all our students can thrive. This recognition is a testament to their dedication, and we are proud to celebrate this achievement with the Monkton community.” He added: “Together, we look forward to building on this success and continuing to provide an outstanding environment for our students.”
