We are seeking to appoint a full time Key Worker to our growing Early Years Team. We are looking for someone who is comfortable, enthusiastic and passionate about being responsible for helping young children feel safe and cared for in a nurturing environment. In this role you will be responsible for observing and developing pupils' learning within our Early Years team (in either Nursery, children aged 2 turning 3 or Kindergarten, children aged 3 turning 4), supporting the Early Years Room Leader. You will work with the team to plan activities, circle times and next steps to support children’s ongoing development. You will hold a Level 2, or ideally a Level 3, Early Years qualification (or have qualified teacher status, ideally with Early Years experience) and will be looking to work in a school that grows fruitful people through innovation and a commitment to professional growth, and prioritises positive relationships.
The hours of work for this role are 8am-4.15pm with 1 or 2 longer days until 6pm. The longer day/s will be agreed during the offer stage. The role will therefore be paid for either 39.5 hours per week or 41.5 hours per week (depending on the number of long days), term-time only. The pay range is £12.50 - £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications). The actual salary therefore ranges between £20,243 and £24,671.
A key element of this role is to support the provision of our longer day between 4pm-6pm, which is why one to two of the days are longer. You’ll also receive allocated time during the school day to upload observations on to Tapestry (assessment platform) and any reports that need to be written.
For any candidates who are interested in picking up additional work in the school holidays, there is an option to support with our holiday provision via our Leisure Centre - Monkton Minis and Muckers. This is an optional role to apply for and is in no way an expectation or requirement of this Early Years Key Worker position.
