Christmas Whole School

Once again we ended the Michaelmas term on a high note as we filled Bath Abbey for our Whole School Carol Service. It is always a joy to carry on this service which has become School tradition and taken place for many years. Pupils from the Prep and Senior Schools, along with parents and staff members enjoyed a packed service of carols, readings and prayers.

Our Senior Chapel Choir lead the congregational carols, as well as performing exquisite arrangements of O Radiant Dawn and In The Bleak Midwinter. Readings were given by Angela Ogilivie (Prep School Teacher), Ms Maycock (Parent), Reggie (Prep Pupil), Tabi (Senior Pupil), and Principal Mr Wheeler. Years 1 to 4 opened the first verse of Away in a Manger, complete with nativity costumes, before the whole congregation joined them. We were delighted to be joined by Revd Rico Tice, of Christianity Explored Ministries, who gave an entertaining and thought-provoking address.

To end the service, we were treated to a performance of A Christmas Blessing by our Prep School and Parent Choirs, before the doors opened up as Hark the Herald Angels Sing resounded around the Abbey and out onto the streets of Bath.
