Pre-Prep School Life
Offering an exceptional learning experience
At the heart of the Pre-Prep is our wish to give the very best start to each child by providing a rich and varied education within a loving, caring, Christian environment. At Monkton Pre-Prep, we encourage curiosity, creativity, sensitivity, ambition and empathy.
Exciting Times at Monkton Pre-Prep
We offer an exceptional learning experience: recently we have, once again, been awarded outstanding by ISI as well as gaining the Bristol Standard accreditation. Follow the link to our latest ISI inspection report by clicking here.
The Pre-Prep has access to all the excellent grounds and sports facilities of the Prep School including an on-site swimming pool with year-round swimming lessons, tennis courts, a state of the art all-weather pitch, sports hall, extensive playing fields and an outdoor classroom in a copse specifically tailored for Pre-Prep children.
Last year our average reading age in Year 2 (6-7 year olds) was 9.8 years and the average spelling age was 10 years. Every child’s academic progress is tracked continuously by our specialist assessment teacher.
We have experienced and highly-qualified staff, including a graduate teacher in every Early Years class.
