Art and Design Teacher

Closing Date: 22 July 2019

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, imaginative and ambitious colleague to join our Art and Design department. You will want to train to teach in a first class environment and have experience of being a practising designer. You are likely to have had some management experience and be keen to transfer those skills to work with the Head of Department in further developing our sector-leading programmes. We see education as far more than what goes on in a workshop, gallery or classroom, and you will be keen to share your broader skills and interests within the wider co-curricular setting to inspire our students to become confident, kind and ambitious adults who live fulfilling lives.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build on the developments made over recent years in the Design department. The introduction of the 3D Design course at A level has enriched the creative discourse between the Design and Art departments, fulfilling some of the original high ambitions for the new faculty building. Applications from candidates interested in exploring the way that the Design curriculum can interact imaginatively with Art, Textiles and Photography are especially welcome.
The salary offered is in accordance with the Monkton Combe Teaching Staff Salary Scale.
Interested potential applicants are encouraged to ring Joe Sidders on 07590 872941 for an informal conversation.
