Head of Geography

Full time, Permanent

Start date: September 2024

Monkton is seeking to appoint a full time Head of Geography from September 2024 to teach throughout the senior school (Years 9 to 13) and lead a successful and forward-thinking department. As a dynamic and ambitious teacher, you are seeking to develop in a school which grows fruitful people through innovation and a commitment to professional growth, and which prioritises relationships over systems.

Candidate Information Pack

Assistant Houseparents of Hatton House

Assistant Houseparents of Hatton House (pastorally accommodated role)

Monkton Prep School

Start date: 1st September 2024

Monkton is seeking to appoint for September 2024 committed and dedicated Assistant Houseparents for Hatton House; a co-educational boarding house for Years 3-8.

Assistant Houseparents are a key part of the pastoral team and the role is most suited to those intending to progress to houseparenting in the future. We place strong emphasis on training and development for post holders and seek couples who are both committed to supporting the house.

Given the school’s strong Christian ethos, a strong, and ideally personal, understanding of the Christian faith is important in this role.

This is a pastorally accommodated role supporting the Houseparents of Hatton House and may be of interest to those applying for teaching roles at Monkton. The role is usually for 2 years with potential for extension beyond that time.

This is an exciting opportunity for those who would enjoy working in a boarding school environment and overseeing the pastoral care of young people. We pride ourselves on our lively Christian ethos and our strong pastoral care.

Safeguarding

Monkton Combe School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and Disclosure and Barring Service.

Diversity Statement

We seek passionate individuals who live out our four core values (confidence, integrity, humility and service) and inspire our bright, curious and enthusiastic students. Monkton thinks differently.
