Monkton Easter Revision Courses 2019 - GCSE and A Level
Monday 15th April to Friday 19th April

With examination dates looming students often find it hard to revise at home. Monkton’s Easter revision courses offer expert advice from teachers who are well versed in the challenges that examinations place upon candidates, many of our teachers are themselves GCSE and A level examiners. Our staff will be able to to offer individual  guidance,  support and challenge to each student through the revision of demanding topics and difficult subject material.

The final weeks before examinations are a crucial stage for success which could influence a student’s final examination outcome. The  Monkton Easter revision course focuses on providing our students with the gain the ‘edge’ with:  concentrated study periods, discussion and examination techniques designed to get the best from each individual delivered by experienced and very successful staff.

Our programme offers the following advantages:
    1.    Monkton teachers are used in our courses, ensuring that the instruction is of the highest quality and is relevant to all current specifications.

    2.    Maximum of 9 students per class so individual attention is assured throughout

    3.    From Monday to Thursday there will be a 30 minute mini-exam in the exam hall per subject, which is marked in detail over night by our tutors for individual feedback the next day.

    4.    At the start of each morning and afternoon there will be a 15 minute ‘study skills’ element to provide students with the most up to date research on revision techniques and strategies.

    5.    To ‘decompress’ at the end of the day all students are offered the use of our sports facilities for organised but informal games such as:  tennis, rounders’ and football.

To help ensure that all students get the most out of the courses offered  they will be asked to complete a questionnaire prior to the start of the course identifying areas of concern or that they feel they would like to focus on during the week.
