Nutfield House
Girls boarding house
George and Carolyn Bevan met and married whilst studying at the Royal College of Music in London. After graduating they moved into teaching in boarding schools, beginning at Pangbourne College, Rugby and Wycombe Abbey before coming to Monkton in 2009. George is the Director of Music here, and Carolyn has worked alongside him as the music administrator.
As well as all forms of music, George has a great love of motor sports and chess, while Carolyn enjoys walking and baking - a skill which the girls in Nutfield are keen to encourage! They have four sons, Chris (who is himself away at boarding school), Ben, Tom and Joe who are all pupils here at Monkton. Two cats and a labrador called Bailey complete the Bevan menagerie.
They both have a passion for pastoral care and are looking forward to carrying on the job of helping the Nutfield girls grow into compassionate and confident young ladies.
