Hatton House

Our amazing grounds become the boarders back garden

Monkton Prep School boy boarders in Hatton HouseHatton House is the name we give to our 3 storey-boarding house  which is located in the heart of the Prep School. It is an impressive building and overlooks the golf course, brand new astro and has the most glorious views for miles over the Midford Valley.  The amazing grounds become the boarders' back garden at the weekend as they spill outside to play tennis, cricket, football or golf.

The games room is really popular along with the lounge with a flat screen TV for dvds and films on the second floor. There are 6 boys' dormitories on the second floor and 5 girls' dormitories on the first floor each, sleeping from 2-9 pupils.

Our pastoral care system is designed to make each child feel valued and supported as well as being able to identify any problems at a very early stage. The boarding team are always on hand to help the new boarders settle into life here at Monkton - to show them round, to take them into Bath to buy family birthday presents, to listen to any worries or concerns over a cup of hot chocolate at the end of a busy day, and to make sure they are organised and in tip-top shape to start the next school day.
