Educating individuals to think for themselves
Pupils have a lesson of PSHE every week. The focus of PSHE is to educate individuals to be able to think for themselves, with an acceptable range of personal abilities and values which also meet the wider social demands of adult life. This includes helping pupils to understand:
* health and development
* their behaviour
* our society
* their school and effective learning skills
* how to make decisions and moral judgements
Often the Tutor system will complement work in PSHE as children are encouraged to discuss issues, perhaps on a more individual basis with their tutor.
