Monkton secure Oxbridge places and strong A Level showing

Students at Monkton Senior School near Bath are taking up Oxbridge offers today as the school celebrates another year’s strong performance at A level. Every Oxbridge applicant at Monkton has gained a place at their chosen university.
All five candidates with offers for Oxford and Cambridge met their targets and many Monkton students will also be heading for the UK’s top universities including UCL, Imperial, Durham, and Nottingham.
A number of departments at Monkton were particularly successful with 92% of chemistry students, 93% of art students, 83% of physics students and 100% of Modern Language and DT students scoring an A*, A or B grade.
Lily Bayntun-Coward gained three A* grades and both Sam Watt and Hudson Hovil gained three A* grades and an A grade.
Monkton Combe School, just a mile from Bath, is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 2-19.
