The 1st XV ran in winners in nine of their eleven matches, with two draws, and a 50 to nil scoreline their best result of the games.

The squad was made up of a total of eighteen boys out of a total year group of 37. The team Captain was Tommy Davies, with Rowan Smith as Vice-Captain.

Monkton Prep School’s Director of Sport Benjamin Sim said “Our final match of the season was a spirited and exciting victory over Hazlegrove, and the game capped a superb season of effort and endeavour from a talented, but most importantly, committed and determined, group of boys.”

Mr Sim added, “We now switch focus to hockey, but will continue to play rugby next term at the Port Regis, Clayesmore and Rosslyn Park National Schools’ 7s competitions.”
