Prep Boarders' Blog - Week 4 - October 2014

Monday, 06 October 2014

Its been a very busy week with all sorts going on in Hatton. On Wednesday evening we had bananas and chocolate cooked in foil on our boarders bonfire. It was another beautiful night to be outside in the open and all the boarders tucked in to the gorgeous cooked bananas, we got to enjoy marshmallows too.

On Thursday, it was Character Day as part of Book Week, where we got to dress up as someone from a book. All the boarders had a great time choosing who they were going to be and at breakfast on Thursday we couldn't stop laughing at everyone in their costumes!  Please visit our Character Day gallery for some pictures from the day.

Prep School guard of honour at the Rec

Friday evening saw a real treat for the older boys in Hatton as they went to watch the rugby match Bath vs Saracens down at the Rec in town. They were the guard of honor and had a fantastic time. They were all buzzing about it on Saturday. The girls are looking forward to being ball girls for a Team Bath netball match when they start their season in January. Saturday was a chilled evening with a film and tuck. The year 8's went to Sainburys with Mrs G and got some treats to enjoy.

On Sunday, we all got up early for the Wells walk. Thankfully the sun was shining and after a big breakfast we set off for our sponsored 10 mile walk around Wells. There was a great atmosphere and before we knew it we were at lunch. The last three miles were all down hill and the ice cream at the bottom tasted so good. It was back to school for relaxing swim in the pool and a scrummy roast dinner. It's been an amazing week and we all feel very proud of ourselves for completing the walk today.
