Prep Boarder's at Bowood House

Week 3 started with our very own Scottish Independence debate. After supper all the boarders gathered in the old library to hear the different points put forward by the Year  8 speakers. It was great fun and the first debate that I had been to. In the end the 'No' campaign won! Even though the 'Yes' campaign were handing out free pop corn!

Each Tuesday evening after supper, we go swimming in the pool. This is a really fun time for everyone as it's a free swim and we get all the floats and balls out to play with.

Everyone had matches on Wednesday afternoon and with the weather being so good we had the chance to have a small bonfire and roast marshmallows. Everyone loved the chance to have a sing song round the fire. I can't wait for the next time. It makes it even more special now its getting darker earlier.

On Friday and Saturday evening, Mrs Goode and Miss Powell took a mini bus for a special treat to Macdonalds for a Mcflurry. The girls went on Friday and came back to watch a film and the boys had their turn on Saturday night.

On Sunday, we spent the day at Bowood house. This was fantastic and we all loved the adventure play area. We had a picnic and played a game of man hunt in the woods. Then it was home to Monkton for a gorgeous roast diner with chocolate pudding. Yum!

Its been a great weekend with so much fun. I really hope the sun keeps shining.
